Job summary

Visiting Angels of Reading is currently seeking a Full Time Caregiver to work in and around Berks County and Northern Chester County. We offer day, evening, and overnight shifts with opportunities for part-time as well. References and background checks will be performed; a drug-free environment is promoted.

Responsibilities include assisting clients with personal care, medication reminders, light housekeeping, meal prep, and mobility assistance, while providing companionship and support.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months experience in caring for seniors and/or disabled adults.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• Dementia/Alzheimer's experience is a plus.
• CNA is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide medication reminders and monitor health needs.
• Light housekeeping including laundry, dishes, and vacuuming.
• Plan, prepare and serve meals; assist with transfers and mobility.
• Provide companionship and positive, supportive companionship.

Applicants MUST have

• MUST have high school diploma or equivalent
• MINIMUM of 6 months experience in caring for Seniors and/or Disabled Adults professionally or personally.
• Reliable transportation is a MUST.
• Reliability and Professionalism are very important.
• MUST enjoy assisting in the needs of others.
• Dementia/Alzheimer's experience a plus.
• CNA a plus Not a requirement.

References and background checks will be performed. We promote a drug-free environment.

Full Time Caregiver responsibilities may include:

• Assisting clients with personal care services such as oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping including laundry, dishes and vacuuming
• Planning, preparing and serving meals
• Assistance with transfers, walking and physical activity
• Assistance with transportation to appointments, activities, errands, and shopping
• Providing companionship and cheerful, positive assistance at all times
