Job summary

Visiting Angels is seeking an In Home Caregiver - Housekeeper to support clients in Berks County and surrounding areas, with day, evening, and overnight shifts. Both part-time and full-time positions are available; reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities include personal care, light housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, medication reminders, and transportation to appointments. References and background checks will be performed; a drug-free environment is maintained.

Qualifications

• MUST have high school diploma or equivalent.
• MINIMUM of 6 months experience in caring for Seniors and/or Disabled Adults professionally or personally.
• Reliable transportation is a MUST.
• Reliability and Professionalism are very important.
• MUST enjoy assisting in the needs of others.
• Dementia/Alzheimer's experience a plus.
• CNA a plus, not required.

• Assisting clients with personal care services such as oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
• Medication reminders.
• Light housekeeping including laundry, dishes and vacuuming.
• Planning, preparing and serving meals.
• Assistance with transfers, walking and physical activity.
• Assistance with transportation to appointments, activities, errands, and shopping.
• Providing companionship and cheerful, positive assistance at all times.
