Job summary

Visiting Angels is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Reading area to provide compassionate in-home care to seniors and disabled adults in Berks and surrounding counties. Part-time and full-time roles are available with day, evening, and overnight shifts.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of caregiving experience, a HS diploma or equivalent, reliable transportation, and a passion for helping others.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months experience caring for seniors and/or disabled adults.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• Reliability and professionalism are important.
• Must enjoy assisting others.
• Dementia/Alzheimer's experience a plus.
• CNA experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care such as oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
• Medication reminders.
• Light housekeeping including laundry, dishes and vacuuming.
• Plan, prepare and serve meals.
• Assistance with transfers, walking and physical activity.
• Assistance with transportation to appointments, activities, errands, and shopping.
• Providing companionship and cheerful, positive assistance at all times.

Applicants MUST have
