Job summary

Visiting Angels of Reading is currently looking for a Caregiver to work in and around Berks and Northern Chester County. We serve the local area including and many others. Part-time and full-time positions available.

We have day, evening, and overnight shifts available. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 months experience in caring for seniors or disabled adults. Reliable transportation is a must; dementia experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation is a MUST.
• Reliability and professionalism are important.
• Must enjoy assisting others.
• Dementia/Alzheimer's experience a plus.
• CNA a plus, not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care such as oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming.
• Medication reminders.
• Light housekeeping including laundry, dishes and vacuuming.
• Plan, prepare and serve meals.
• Assist with transfers, walking and physical activity.
• Assist with transportation to appointments, activities, errands and shopping.
• Provide companionship and cheerful, positive assistance.

Education
