Job summary

Comfort Keepers in Cold Spring is hiring a full-time in-home caregiver to help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent. Shifts are 7am–3pm or 3pm–11pm; wage starts at $18/hour, with $20/hour for CNAs. Eligible after 5 months for free CNA classes with Scrubs Academy.

Part-time options may be available to fit your schedule. Responsibilities include daily living assistance, light housekeeping, meal prep, mobility support, medication reminders, and companionship.

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age or older with HS diploma or GED.

Comfort Keepers is now hiring a full time caregiver for Cold Spring! Available shifts would be 7am to 3pm as well as 3pm to 11pm. Wage begins at $18 an hour unless Certified Nursing Assistant then $20 an hour. Eligible after 5 months of employment for free CNA classes with Scrubs Academy. Part time and full-time hours available depending on your availability.

About The Job

As an in-home caregiver, you will clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Responsibilities may include:

• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living
• Hands-on personal cares may include assistance with dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene
• Light housekeeping includes cleaning bathroom, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, linen change, vacuuming, laundry, garbage etc
• Meal planning, cooking and baking
• Conversation and companionship
• Interactive Caregiving
• Assistance with mobility that may include use of transfer tools/equipment
• Assistance with medication
• Dementia or Alzheimer’s care
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shift as well as cares.

Comfort Keepers Requirements

• Experience in a caregiving role
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday
• 21 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Own reliable transportation, clean driving record, 3 years driving experience
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance and comfortable driving
• DHS and driving record background clearance
• Customer Service Excellence, Professional Boundaries required
