Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Full Time Specimen Collector II in Portland, OR. The role involves collecting urine and saliva specimens, processing shipments, and coordinating between clinics and the lab.

Travel within the Greater Portland area is required, with a rotating weekly schedule and on-call weeks. The ideal candidate has 6+ months in specimen collection or 1+ year in a medical setting, plus strong customer service skills and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of specimen collection or 1+ year in medical field supporting patients.
• 2+ years of customer service experience acceptable in lieu of medical experience.
• Proficient with smartphones and computers.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• HIPAA/HiTrust/compliance awareness is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package specimens for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory.
• Record patient information and physician order details.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens.
