Compass Group USA is hiring a full-time Cook at our campus dining location in Montevallo, Alabama. The role requires prior high-volume cooking experience and offers a fixed pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

Schedule is Monday through Friday, 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with online applications accepted only. Responsibilities include preparing high-quality meals to standardized recipes, ensuring proper portioning, temperatures, and presentation.

Qualifications

• Prior high-volume cooking experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
• Organizes and maintains kitchen cleanliness and safety standards, including proper storage of food and use of equipment.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
• Reports needed maintenance or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
