Job summary

Community Action Partnership of Lancaster County is seeking a Full Time Nutrition Service Associate in Lancaster, PA. The role ensures a nutritionally sound, culturally responsive menu for CAP Thrive to Five programs, delivering meals and maintaining regulatory records for CACFP and Head Start standards.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and ServSafe certification within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Service Management, or a related field is preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Must secure ServSafe certification within 6 months of hire.
• 2 years foodservice experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Procures, receives, prepares, and assembles meals and snacks according to established recipes, CACFP standards, and dietary guidelines.
• Maintains records of meal counts, food inventory, and regulatory documentation for meal reimbursement.
• Organizes and delivers meals to offsite and onsite locations, ensuring proper temperatures.
• Follows CACFP standards and health department requirements to maintain safety and sanitation.

Education

High school diploma or GED is required

Associate's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Service Management, or related field preferred
