Job summary

The Union League of Philadelphia is seeking a skilled Building Engineer to operate, maintain and troubleshoot the club's mechanical and electrical systems. This role focuses on safety, reliability and comfort across daily operations in our Philadelphia facility.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of HVAC or refrigeration experience, reads blueprints, and can work independently while communicating clearly with team members.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in HVAC or refrigeration system operation.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Capable of independent action and initiative.
• Must lift 50 lbs and stand/walk most of shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain building HVAC and electrical systems.
• Monitor energy usage and perform preventative maintenance.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for warranty work.
• Order materials and manage inventory.
• Respond to emergencies and seasonal tasks.
