Job summary

Washburn House, part of Advanced Recovery Systems, LLC, seeks a Full-Time Counselor in Worcester, MA, to provide individual and group therapy as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team.

The role involves initial assessments, treatment planning with the clinical team, and ongoing notes to document progress. The position includes a starting salary around $50,000+ and a schedule with rotating shifts. A strong background in 12-Step and Family Systems Recovery is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of 12-Step and Family Systems Recovery models.
• Strong understanding of group behavior and dynamics; good licensing/accreditation awareness.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and establish treatment goals.
• Provide individual psychotherapy three times weekly for an assigned caseload.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to maintain a therapeutic milieu.
• Lead treatment planning with medical and nursing staff.
• Complete all required documentation and progress notes.
• Assist with crisis de-escalation and support staff as needed.
