Job summary

Washburn House in Worcester, Massachusetts, is seeking a Full-Time Counselor to join the team. The role focuses on individual and group therapy within an inter-disciplinary treatment team and requires collaboration with clinical leadership to implement care plans.

Schedule varies (CSS Sunday-Thursday 12pm-8pm or RRS Fri-Tue 12pm-8pm); starting pay is $50,000+ with benefits. Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred. Knowledge of 12-Step and licensing standards is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of 12-Step and Family Systems Recovery.
• Familiarity with licensing and accreditation standards (JCAHO, MH & D Disabilities Code, DHS).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual therapy and group therapy to clients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate treatment.
• Lead writing of treatment plans with medical and nursing staff.
• Complete daily clinical notes documenting client progress.
• Support crisis de-escalation and ensure safety.
• Participate in community outreach and quality improvement.
