Job summary

Compass Group at AT&T Hotel and Conference Center in Austin, TX is seeking a Full-time Bartender to join our team immediately. You will prepare and serve beverages in a fast-paced bar area, delivering friendly, courteous service to guests.

The role requires full availability, adherence to liquor laws, cash handling, and maintaining clean, stocked bars. Previous bartending experience is preferred; duties include setting up bars, stocking supplies, serving guests, and ensuring guest safety.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to liquor regulations pertaining to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Sets up bars; stocks beer, wine, spirits, glassware, garnishes, ice and produce.
• Maintains stock and quality of perishable items.
• Greets guests courteously.
• Takes and processes drink orders; mixes and presents drinks per recipes; uses proper portions.
• Checks IDs for age verification.
• Detects and acts on intoxication as trained; knows liquor laws.
• Receives cash, makes change, verifies charges, records transactions, and handles vouchers.
• Locks up and stores beverage products and cash; secures bank.
• Performs cleaning tasks; keeps area tidy and organized.
• Arranges bottles and glasses attractively.
• Washes and sterilizes stemware.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
