Job summary

Embassy Suites Austin is seeking a bartender to deliver exceptional guest experiences by preparing drinks promptly and professionally. You will greet guests, take orders, mix beverages per recipes, and maintain a clean bar area while following responsible alcohol-service standards.

The role requires 21+ years of age, possible local certifications, and prior bartending or strong customer-service experience. Availability for evenings, weekends and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older to serve alcohol.
• May need local certifications for alcohol service/food handling.
• Prior bartending or strong customer-service experience preferred.
• Solid knowledge of cocktails, beer and wine; ability to learn brand standards.
• Excellent communication and guest-service skills.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, take orders accurately, and make recommendations.
• Prepare and serve beverages per recipes and standards.
• Operate POS and handle cash transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar and equipment.
• Restock inventory and monitor usage.
• Serve responsibly per Texas regulations and hotel policy.
• Complete opening/closing tasks and shift duties.
• Follow health and safety procedures.
