Job summary

Texas Western Hospitality is seeking a Bartender for Embassy Suites Austin to deliver drinks promptly and professionally while keeping the bar clean and organized. You will prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and follow responsible alcohol-service standards on site.

Ideal candidates are 21+, with the ability to obtain local certifications; bartending or guest-service experience is preferred. Familiarity with cocktails, beer, and wine and comfort with a POS system are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ to serve alcohol; meet Hilton/property requirements.
• Ability to obtain/maintain local certifications (e.g., responsible alcohol service, food handler).
• Prior bartending experience or demonstrated customer service experience.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine; learn Hilton drink standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide guest service: greet guests, take orders, and make recommendations.
• Prepare and serve beverages per recipe and portion standards.
• Operate POS/cash handling systems and process payments.
• Maintain bar cleanliness, equipment, glassware, and workstations.
• Monitor and restock inventory and track usage.
• Serve responsibly per Texas regulations and hotel policy.
• Complete opening/closing tasks and end-of-shift duties.
• Follow health and safety procedures for food/beverage handling.
• Support events and hotel operations during peak times.
