Job summary

Citizens is seeking a Bank Teller to greet customers, handle transactions, and provide courteous service. You will verify signatures, check endorsements, and resolve issues per bank policy while supporting cross-selling and balance inquiries.

Previous cash-handling and customer-service experience are preferred. The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, and proficiency with Windows-based software and 10-key by touch.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of Windows based software, ability to use a personal computer and 10 key by touch and be detail oriented and highly accurate.
• Previous experience handling cash in a customer service environment preferred.
• Knowledge of customer service principles, meeting quality standards and evaluating satisfaction; familiarity with selling products/services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with banking transactions promptly, accurately and courteously.
• Cash checks and payouts after verification of signatures, amounts, and funds.
• Examine checks for endorsements and verify information like dates, bank names and IDs.
• Resolve transactions outside policy through proper procedures.
• Respond to customer account inquiries and cross-sell opportunities.
• Assist other personnel during peak hours and with balance information and transfers.
