Job summary

Westminster Communities of Florida in Winter Park, FL is seeking an Assistant Cook for a full-time position. You will prepare and serve quality foods, including salads, cold sandwiches, and pantry items, under the supervision of a cook and with high standards of safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities include assisting with hot foods, portion control, restocking, and maintaining a clean station. Requires 12 months of culinary experience and a High School Diploma; Serv Safe certification

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Florida Serv Safe certification required or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of date of hire.

Responsibilities

Performs limited hot food preparation under the direct supervision of the cook in accordance with standardized recipes.
Distributes prepared food to all service areas accurately and restocks items as needed.
Cleans and maintains the station with proper safety, sanitation and organization.
Assists with cleaning, sanitation and organization of kitchen and equipment.
Experience with POS Systems.
Maintain quality and presentation of salads, sandwiches and pantry items.
