Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma as required
• Experience with people with disabilities or training in interacting with students with disabilities preferred
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact effectively with students, parents and staff
• Excellent attendance, flexibility and competence for assigned responsibilities
• Regular, reliable and punctual attendance required
• Alternative qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Board

Responsibilities

• Assist with program delivery and follow direction from staff
• Support orientation, reading, music, art, physical education and other curriculum tasks
• Follow prescribed behavioral management programs
• Assist with instructional materials and adapt activities for individual students
• Assist with student mobility and daily living activities as needed
• Participate in activities and supervise students in and out of the classroom
• Perform other duties as assigned by staff or principal
