Job summary

Rochester Community Schools is seeking an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Teacher for Long Meadow Elementary in Rochester Hills, Michigan. This 1.0 FTE position is for the 2026-27 school year and requires a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate and ASD-SV certification.

The ideal candidate will design individualized programs and collaborate with service providers to support students with special needs. Starting date To Be Determined; salary per Rochester Education Association Master Agreement.

Qualifications

Must hold valid Michigan Teaching Certificate.
Must be certified in Autism Spectrum Disorder - SV.
Experience working with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred.

Responsibilities

Comply with timelines, laws and regulations that relate to district, state, federal policies and procedures.
Monitor and document student progress on IEP goals.
Collaborate with all service providers, and other staff to develop instruction and support goals that are designed to meet the learning needs of students.
Compile and submit monthly Medicaid reports.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual students.
Participate in building meetings as directed by the building principal.
Performs other duties as requested by the Assistant Superintendent or Building Principal.
