Job summary
Montgomery College is seeking a full-time faculty member in Applied Geography, Cartography, Geographic Information Systems (G.I.S.), and Geographic Education at the Rockville campus to begin January 2027 for the spring semester. Qualifications
- Requires currency in GIS (ArcPro), Python, Cartography, Remote Sensing and related courses.
- Experience with online or remote teaching utilizing Blackboard is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in geography or related field and professional training in geography/cartography.
Responsibilities
- Teach geography and cartography courses across multiple delivery modes (face-to-face, online, hybrid, blended).
- Maintain office hours and advise students; engage in professional development and committee work.
- Utilize Open Educational Resources (OERs) to reduce student costs and keep content current.
