Job summary

UPMC Community is seeking a full-time Staff Physical Therapist to join their team and support the acute patient care population. The position features a Monday–Friday day shift with rotating weekends and holidays.

The Staff Physical Therapist will review charts, perform initial assessments, develop treatment plans, administer therapies, monitor progress, and document outcomes including discharge planning and patient education. Licensure in the state and CPR/BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Strong assessment, planning, and documentation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Administer physical therapy treatments and modalities.
• Monitor progress and document treatments and discharge planning.
• Supervise PT assistants and coordinate care with the team.
• Maintain documentation in alignment with department standards.
