Silverado Senior Living Management Inc. Encinitas is seeking a Resident Engagement (Activities) Assistant to bring joy, engagement, and purpose to residents through thoughtful recreational programming.

You will assist the Director of Resident Engagement, organize memory enrichment activities, encourage participation, and help prepare materials. Requires a high school diploma, clear English communication, reliable transportation with a valid license, and willingness to work with dementia

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or educational equivalent required.
• Effective communication in English (verbal and written).
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Comfortable around animals and pets.
• Willingness to work with individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Resident Engagement in planning and leading daily activity programs.
• Organize and facilitate memory enrichment activities for small groups.
• Encourage resident participation and celebrate their achievements.
• Prepare materials and conduct research for recreational programs.
• Support music and occupational therapy sessions.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Previous experience with older adults or memory care preferred
• Active role: walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.)

Schedule: Full Time, AM shift, Tuesday - Saturday

Anticipated pay range

$20 — $22 USD
