Friendship Village in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking an Activity Assistant to join our Skilled Nursing team in a full-time role. You will implement a varied scope of activities and recreation for residents in a Life-Care community.

You will coordinate creative programs, chart attendance, and support daily operations including newsletters and group activities. The position offers starting pay of $16.00 per hour with benefits to support your life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong verbal and writing skills required.
• Prior experience with activity programming a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides input and initiates creative programs for residents of varying levels.
• Chart attendance and one-on-one visits; report changes to the Activity Director; contribute to the monthly Newsletter.
• Transport residents to activities; assist with meal trays and supervise group activities.

Friendship Village is seeking a compassionate and energetic individual to join our Skilled Nursing team as an Activity Assistant which is responsible for implementing a varied scope of activities and recreation. Here's a snapshot of what you'll be doing each day as an Activity Assistant:

• Provides input and takes initiation of creative programs for both high and low-level functioning residents.
• Daily charting of attendance, one on one room visits, and reporting any significant changes in behavior to the Activity Director. Will participate in contributing to the monthly Newsletter.
• Transporting residents to and from activities, passing and reading mail to residents, organizing and supervising group activities, helping with the passing of meal trays and dining room set up, assisting with out of building activities.
