Job summary

Villaspring is seeking an Activity Assistant at our skilled nursing facility in Kentucky. You will provide activities to residents to promote their psychosocial, spiritual and emotional well-being, while engaging families and staff.

The role offers pay in the $13.50–$16.00 per hour range, with Daily Pay options and full benefits including 401K and low-cost medical and dental insurance. Flexible schedules and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• STNA certification or eligibility required.
• Must communicate well with others.
• Desire to work with elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group and 1:1 activities for residents.
• Contribute to activity calendar and tailor activities to residents' needs.
• Conduct scheduled groups and individual activities.
• Attend outings and operate bus equipment as needed.
• Attend team meetings and support resident meals.
• Assist with theme weeks and special events.
• Document activity participation and attendance.
• Support customer service surveys and supervisor tasks.

Responsibilities

• Work with other members of the Activity Department to provide individual, group and 1:1 activities, which are essential to the total wellbeing of our Residents.
• Provides insight with the activity calendar and provides activities to meet the needs of the residents
• Conducts all scheduled groups and individual activities.
• Attends outings - operates bus lift and all other bus equipment.
• Attends Team Member meetings as needed
• Assists with Resident meals (serve/feed).
• Assists with Theme Weeks and special events.
• Documents activity participation attendance for all groups and individual activities
• Assist with Customer Service Surveys.
• All other duties specified by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be (or must be eligible to become) State Tested Nurse Aide to allow more active participation with activity delivery
• Willing to learn and communicates well with others
• Has a sincere desire to work with elderly and enjoys working directly with residents, staff and families.
