Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living in Clifton Park, NY, is seeking a dedicated Resident Care Aide to support memory-impaired residents with daily tasks while upholding dignity and independence.

The role requires compassion for the elderly, a GED or higher, and preferred CNA/HHA/PCA credentials with at least one year of caregiving experience. Evening shifts and a comprehensive benefits package accompany the position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and document records of care.
• Report changes in residents' condition to supervisor and address issues promptly.
• Encourage participation in community activities.

We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicatedResident Care Aide

Schedule:

Full Time

3pm-11pm, every other weekend

Salary:

$16.50 - $18.00 per hour, based on experience

Shift differential for evenings, nights and weekend shifts

Resident Care Aide Responsibilities include:

• Assisting our memory impaired residents to complete tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing while maintaining the residents’ dignity and promoting their independence




• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights




• Maintain and document proper records of care




• Immediately report changes in resident’s condition to the supervisor:evidence of illness, changes in behavior, personal care needs not being met, medication issues, residents’ whereabouts unknown, etc.




• Promote and encourage residents to participate in community activities

Resident Care Aide Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred




• Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA, Home Health Aide-HHA, or Personal Care Aide-PCA certification preferred or as required by law




• One year working in a care giving capacity preferred




• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly required
