Job summary

The Museum of Science in Boston is seeking a Full Stack Developer to own the user-facing experience across our Drupal-based sites, delivering polished interfaces and integrating with ticketing, CRM, and payment systems.

You will collaborate with the Lead Web Developer on a small, high-trust team, apply AI tooling responsibly, and contribute to a codebase modernization while ensuring accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional web development with strong frontend focus.
• Ability to design accessible interfaces (WCAG-conformant).
• Experience consuming REST/JSON APIs and integrating systems.
• Comfort using AI-assisted development tools and practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver user-facing features for the Museum's web properties with accessible interfaces and server-side support.
• Lead UX/UI decisions and work toward a reusable component design system.
• Build and maintain connections to Salesforce, Ticketure, and payment systems via APIs.
• Verify cross-browser, responsive behavior and contribute tests where valuable.
• Use AI tools responsibly to enhance coding, review, and research.
• Modernize and refactor legacy code for better structure and performance.
• Conduct focused investigations and provide actionable design/architecture recommendations.
• Contribute to Drupal/Acquia CMS properties and CI/CD workflows with the team.
