Job summary

EarthScope Consortium is seeking a Full-Stack Designer/Developer to lead end-to-end design and development of a website for the NSF National Geophysical Facility. You will shape a modern, accessible UI/UX and build a scalable cloud-based platform in AWS.

The role combines architecture, implementation, and content management oversight, collaborating with engineers, scientists, and the communications team to ensure consistency with branding and NSF standards.

Qualifications

• PhD in geoscience or related field with relevant leadership experience.
• MS or BS with multiple years of lead or major roles in projects.
• Experience leading full-stack web design/development projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a web stack for the NSF NGF within an AWS cloud environment.
• Evolve EarthScope assets to support NGF stack and CMS.
• Create intuitive, accessible UI/UX with scalable architecture.
• Collaborate with scientists, data engineers, and comms team to translate needs into solutions.
• Ensure integration with APIs and data systems and maintain security.
