Job summary

Palski & Associates, Inc. in Colorado Springs is seeking a software engineering lead to guide a small development team on space-applications tooling for national defense missions.

You will shape approaches with mission engineers, SMEs, and the customer, delivering robust prototype and modeling tools for Space Force needs. The role requires strong background in space-related software, full-stack capability, and a TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a technical field (Engineering, Physics, CS or Math).
• TS/SCI clearance.
• 3–6 years of related experience.
• Strong background in software engineering of space applications.
• Full-stack development experience.
• Knowledge of OOP languages for capability prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small development team to develop and deliver a web application tool suite to the Space Force
• Work with mission engineers, subject matter experts, and the customer to determine best approaches in developing and enhance existing prototype and modeling applications for the Space Force.
• Create full stack prototype application to assist with Space Force mission planning

You will

Lead a small development team to develop and enhance existing prototype and modeling space-application software tools capabilities for the Space Force.

• Lead a small team of developers to develop and deliver a web application tool suite to the Space Force
• Work with mission engineers, subject matter experts, and the customer to determine best approaches in developing and enhance existing prototype and modeling applications for the Space Force.
• Create full stack prototype application to assist with Space Force mission planning

You have

• Strong background in Software Engineering of Space-Applications, Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical engineering, math and/or physics.
• Working knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming or languages for performing capability prototypes
• Full stack experience
• BS Degree in Technical Field with desire in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or Math
• TS/SCI clearance
• Ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience

• Knowledgeable about cloud infrastructure and web application deployment
• Understanding of military Orbital Warfare operations and employment concepts and/or the Orbital domain and associated physics.
• Demonstrated Test Engineering and/or System Engineering skills
