Job summary

Metron Inc. in Reston, VA is seeking a Software Engineer to design backend infrastructure and frontend web applications for simulation and optimization software that models complex physical systems.

You will join interdisciplinary teams of Research Scientists and Software Engineers and participate in the full lifecycle from concept through data visualization, algorithm design, prototyping, implementation, demonstration and deployment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/Math/Physics or related field.
Programming in Java, TypeScript, Python or C++.
Strong object-oriented programming.
Experience with full-stack web development in any framework/language.
Ability to communicate design concepts and performance metrics clearly.
U.S. Citizenship required; eligible for access to classified information.

Responsibilities

Write backend infrastructure and frontend web applications for simulation and optimization software.
Collaborate on end-to-end problem solving from concept through data visualization and deployment.
Participate in cross-functional teams with Researchers and Software Engineers.
