Job summary

Metron is seeking talented programmers for complex projects in national security. As a Software Engineer you will build backend infrastructure and frontend web applications for simulation and optimization software that uses probabilistic models of physical systems.

Teams range from 2 to 20 people, including Research Scientists and Software Engineers. You will participate in the full lifecycle—concept, data visualization, analysis, algorithm design, prototyping, implementation, demonstration, and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Math, or related field.
Proficiency in Java, TypeScript, Python or C++ programming.
Proficiency in object-oriented programming.
Familiarity with full-stack web application development in any frameworks/languages.
Ability to communicate design concepts and performance metrics clearly.
U.S. Citizenship is required; security investigation will be conducted.

Responsibilities

Write backend infrastructure and frontend web applications for simulation and optimization software.
Collaborate in teams ranging from 2 to 20 people with researchers and engineers.
Contribute across the entire software lifecycle from concept through deployment.
Design maintainable, scalable code and clearly communicate design decisions.
