Job summary

Metron in Reston, VA is seeking a Software Engineer – Frontend Development to design and implement front-end web applications for simulation and optimization software. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams of researchers and software engineers to turn ideas into usable interfaces.

The role requires a BS in CS or related field, strong HTML/CSS skills, and at least 2 years of relevant experience. US citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Experience with HTML and CSS.
• Familiarity with web application design and front-end development in any frameworks or languages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• US citizenship required; security investigation and eligibility for access to classified information.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement front-end web applications for simulation and optimization software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams comprising researchers and software engineers.
• Participate throughout the problem-solving process: concept development, data visualization, algorithm design, prototyping, implementation, demonstration, and deployment.
• Contribute to UI/UX design as well as front-end development.
