Metron, Inc. is seeking a mid-level Rust Developer in Reston, VA to build and optimize production software supporting simulation, optimization, and decision support. You will work in a large Rust codebase, translating complex algorithms for researchers and engineers and integrating with backend services, databases, and frontend applications.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, at least 3 years of industry experience, and production-grade Rust skills. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a technical field (see education)
• 3+ years of industry experience
• Production-grade Rust experience
• Backend services with Axum or similar frameworks
• Experience with async code (Tokio)
• Ability to translate complex concepts for researchers and engineers
• Familiarity with full-stack web development in any framework/languages
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Interim Security Clearance
