Job summary

Leidos seeks a Mid-Level Software Engineer for web applications with full-stack capabilities, building APIs and scalable systems. You’ll contribute across front-end and back-end, participate in CI/CD, and support testing and documentation throughout the release life cycle.

Requirements include a BS degree (or Master’s with less experience), 2–4 years of relevant work, and an active Secret security clearance. Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Spring Boot, and cloud platforms is needed.

Qualifications

• Typically requires BS degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience or a Master’s with less than 2 years of experience.
• Must hold an active Secret security clearance.
• Expertise in front-end web application development in one or more programming languages is required.
• Proficiency with Java and JavaScript.
• Experience with Spring Boot, relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Version control with Git.
• Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain source code and software applications across the release life cycle.
• Document, test, configure, and fix bugs in developed software.
• Collaborate with project managers and technical staff across teams.
• Explain technical solutions and best practices to colleagues.
• Work independently on moderately complex projects to meet objectives.
