Job summary

RVO Health, a health-technology company, seeks a Software Engineer in Denver (hybrid). You will design, implement, and ship features for Healthgrades' provider search and content experiences, collaborating with product, TPMs, and engineers to plan sprints and deliver high-quality software.

You’ll modernize legacy code toward a current React/TypeScript stack, write tests, participate in code reviews, and contribute to automated testing and production support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of software development experience with large-scale applications and web development.
• Full stack experience across front-end and back-end applications.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with React.
• Strong JavaScript fundamentals.
• Experience using AI tools for code generation with sound judgment.
• Experience with REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with automated testing (unit/integration).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across product managers, engineers, and TPMs.
• Experience supporting high-traffic production systems, including on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship features across our widget platform and content systems from requirements to production.
• Collaborate with Product Manager and engineers to scope work, estimate effort, and plan sprints.
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Modernize legacy code toward a React/TypeScript stack.
• Debug and resolve issues across the stack; participate in on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with QA on testing strategy and automated tests.
• Leverage AI tools to speed up development work.
• Contribute to a healthy team culture with clear communication and shared ownership.
