Job summary

Foundation AI is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize high-quality software solutions. You will contribute across the full stack, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers to build scalable, secure, and maintainable software.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience as a software engineer, preferably full-stack.
• Proficient in Python (Flask/FastAPI) and JavaScript (ES6+); experience with React, Angular, or Vue; builds and consumes REST APIs.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL or relational databases; hands-on with RabbitMQ.
• Experience with Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions); observability tools like ELK, Datadog, Splunk, or New Relic.
• Architectural understanding of modular and scalable system design; applies OOP and design patterns; familiar with distributed systems concepts.
• Implements unit and integration tests; follows TDD/BDD and ensures code quality.
• Problem-solving mindset; debugging moderately complex systems; evaluates trade-offs and optimizes performance.
• Additional skills: Celery, async task processing, Kubernetes, Airflow, frontend security practices, Agile/Scrum, and reading LLD/HLD docs.

• Feature Implementation: Build and deliver features end-to-end with cross-functional teams.
• Code Quality: Participate in code reviews, write unit and integration tests, follow best practices.
• Collaboration: Work with designers, product managers, and QA to meet requirements.
• Agile Execution: Participate in sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives.
• CI/CD & DevOps: Contribute to deployment pipelines and maintain reliable delivery processes.
• Debugging & Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve issues in production and staging.
• Documentation: Maintain documentation for features, services, and key technical decisions.
