DomainTools is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Engineering Team. You will work on high-impact web applications and enterprise-grade cybersecurity products used in mission-critical environments.

The Frontend Team focuses on a React client and a PHP server; this role is primarily focused on the PHP server but will involve full-stack work across Laravel, React, and related technologies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building modern web applications.
• Strong PHP framework experience (Laravel or Symfony).
• Strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience.
• Experience with React 18+ and Redux.
• Unit and integration testing with PHPUnit/Jest.
• Git and version control workflows.
• Docker or container technologies.

Responsibilities

The team values productivity, autonomy, and pragmatic engineering practices, with minimal process overhead.

Additional Context

The Frontend Team at DomainTools is responsible for a React client and a PHP server. This role is primarily focused on working with the PHP server, but engineers will need to work in the full stack.

Job Responsibilities

• Write efficient, maintainable, and testable code following software engineering best practices.
• Build and maintain applications using best practices for Laravel (PHP) and React (TypeScript).
• Integrate frontend applications with APIs, backend systems, and databases.
• Contribute to both new product development and enhancement of existing applications.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, documentation, and design feedback sessions.
• Develop expertise in customer-facing products and platform capabilities.

• 3+ years of experience developing modern web applications.
• Knowledge of software architecture and experience implementing programming patterns.
• Strong experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
• Strong experience with JavaScript (ES7+) and TypeScript.
• Deep knowledge of:
• Object-oriented, functional, and procedural PHP 7+
• API integration and consumption
• Experience with React 18+ and Redux.
• Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks such as PHPUnit and Jest.
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative version control workflows.
• Experience working with Docker or other container technologies.
  

Pluses

• Familiarity with Vite configuration.
• Experience with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms.
• Experience with end-to-end testing tools such as Playwright.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with styled-components (or other CSS-in-JS libraries).
