Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a full-stack product engineer to own enterprise workflows end to end, spanning frontend and backend, plugins, and data boundaries. You will translate customer problems into concrete product scope, ship across ChatGPT Work surfaces, and partner with design and platform teams to ensure measurable quality gates and safe rollout paths.

Ideal candidates combine strong product judgment with hands-on ownership of modern tech stacks (React/TypeScript on the frontend; Python/Go/Node.js

Qualifications

Experience building and operating full-stack production products.
Experience with frontend stack (React/TypeScript) and backend services (Python/Go/Node.js).
Experience designing evolvable APIs and data models.
Ownership of production systems, observability, testing, incident response, and rollback.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end product development for enterprise workflows across ChatGPT Work surfaces, services, plugins, connectors.
Translate customer problems into concrete product scope and milestones.
Collaborate with Design, Research, GTM, Security, and platform teams to ensure quality gates.
Create robust evaluations, observability, and rollback paths.
Define contracts and fallback paths with platform teams for cross-system integration.
