Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. in Sugar Land, Texas is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to design, build, and own internal software systems powering our manufacturing operations.

You will drive architecture across the stack, from front-end dashboards to backend services and equipment-level communication protocols, enabling end-to-end MES/RMS integrations and SECS/GEM host software. The ideal candidate has strong C#/.NET fundamentals and the initiative to define systems in a growing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related STEM discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C# / .NET development (ASP.NET Core, Blazor, Entity Framework, or similar frameworks).
• Solid experience with SQL databases (queries, joins, stored procedures, performance tuning).
• Experience with RESTful API design and back-end service development.
• Proficiency with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, own, and maintain full-stack web applications for internal manufacturing operations, including production dashboards and monitoring portals.
• Implement scalable architectures serving multiple teams across manufacturing, process engineering, quality, and operations.
• Write clean, well-documented code following best practices and standards.
• Maintain and enhance EAP software enabling communication between equipment and factory systems.
• Configure SECS/GEM communication per SEMI standards and support device qualification and testing.
• Integrate tools with MES for lot tracking and RMS for recipe management.
• Build dashboards for production performance, yield, and equipment health using SQL data.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Provide documentation including ICDs and procedures; ensure compliance with quality controls.
