Job summary

Schwab Technology Services is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to a distributed Java-based ecosystem using microservices and modern front-end patterns. You will design and implement Angular UIs with TypeScript and collaborate with product, architecture, and SRE teams in an agile setting.

The role emphasizes on-site work with hybrid flexibility, strong emphasis on quality, accessibility, and performance, within Schwab's technology portfolio for Sales and Service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 2+ years building apps with Java, Spring, and web services.
• 1+ years using Angular with TypeScript-based framework.
• Exposure to containers and microservices in cloud environments.
• Understanding of CI/CD and cloud deployment workflows.
• Awareness of cloud platforms such as PCF, AWS, and/or GCP.
• Basic knowledge of databases such as MongoDB, Redis, or SQL Server.
• Ability to collaborate across product management, architecture, SRE, and adjacent teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop distributed Java-based application ecosystem using microservices and micro-frontend patterns.
• Build Angular user interfaces with TypeScript, RxJS, state management, and component-based architecture.
• Partner with product owners, architects, and technology teams to clarify requirements.
• Contribute across the software development lifecycle from design to production support.
• Improve front-end standards, design systems, observability, and CI/CD quality gates.
