Job summary

Signature Science, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to lead full-stack development for medical IVD devices and analytical software. You will design intuitive UI/UX for non-technical users and integrate with microcontrollers and embedded hardware.

Responsibilities include C++ and Python development, secure coding, and adherence to ISO 13485/62304, with collaboration across biologists, hardware teams, and project leads.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with a software focus.
• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with medical devices/biotech software is preferred.
• Experience with microcontrollers and hardware interfaces is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack software development for medical IVD systems and analysis software.
• Design and refine UI/UX for non-technical users to control instruments.
• Develop and test low-level microcontroller interfaces and hardware communication.
• Write high-performance C++ and Python for control and data processing.
• Ensure secure coding practices and regulatory compliance (QMS ISO standards).
• Collaborate across biology, systems engineering, and hardware teams.
• Troubleshoot hardware-software integration issues and optimize workflows.
• Produce lifecycle documentation, design specs, and user manuals.
