Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with software focus.
• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience in medical devices/biotech software development strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-stack software development for medical IVD systems and biological analysis software.
• Design intuitive UI/UX for scientists and non-technical operators to control instruments and sensor networks.
• Program, integrate, and test low-level microcontrollers to communicate with sensors and peripherals.
• Write, test, and optimize high-performance C++ and Python for instrumentation control and data processing.
• Ensure cybersecurity controls and secure coding practices in production environments.
• Adhere to QMS and ISO standards (ISO 13485, ISO 62304) and maintain design controls and documentation.
• Collaborate with biologists, systems engineers, and hardware developers to translate requirements into production software.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software integration issues and optimize operating workflows.
• Author and maintain software lifecycle documentation and end-user manuals.
