Job summary

Amazon Shopping Video (ASV) is seeking a self-driven, enthusiastic full stack engineer to design, lead and build end-to-end video experiences. You will influence technical direction and practice, working on livestreaming, chat, advertising and video commerce.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver fast, low-latency video experiences for millions of customers, while ensuring accessibility and internationalization support.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Build fluid customer experiences to view videos and shop as they watch videos.
• Lead a group of engineers on complex projects that millions of Amazon customers interact with daily.
• Contribute to modern architecture patterns, state management, and component-based design.
• Implement design system components and libraries for scalable UI.
• Optimize performance for high-frequency UI updates and complex state changes.
• Follow accessibility standards and internationalization best practices.
