Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer for AWS Elemental MediaTailor to design and build scalable ad insertion and video streaming features. You will collaborate with a diverse team and own components from design through deployment.

You will work on challenges around real-time ad decisioning, manifest manipulation, and large-scale video delivery while maintaining strong coding practices and cross-team communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture (patterns, reliability, scaling) experience.
• Experience programming with at least one language.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement features for video streaming and ad insertion at scale.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code that meets operational standards.
• Participate in the on-call rotation for 24/7 video streaming services.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to improve system architecture and efficiency.
• Identify and resolve complex issues across distributed systems.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high quality standards.
• Document technical decisions and share knowledge with the team.
