Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer / Full-Stack Developer to join a national security project. You will build features, lead agile work, and collaborate on data analytics and AI integration for real-time data streams.

Hybrid work is available from Herndon, VA or Annapolis Junction, MD. A TS/SCI clearance is required. This role offers growth into higher responsibilities with a well-rounded benefits package.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of practical software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s or higher education substituted by experience levels as noted.
• Proficiency with Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern web frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build new features and capabilities for a software project deployed on classified networks.
• Lead tasks and coordinate with other technical resources in an Agile team.
• Design and deploy software tools for customers’ mission needs.
• Integrate AI capabilities to enrich real-time data flows.
• Develop and test code with emphasis on type safety, CI/CD and reliability.
