Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Software Engineer / Full-Stack Developer to join a customer-facing project supporting national security. You will build and lead feature improvements, including data analytics and integration of AI capabilities to enrich real-time dataflows.

Work location is out of the AV office in Herndon, Virginia or Annapolis Junction, Maryland with hybrid work available. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of practical software engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for 4 years; Master’s 6 years; PhD 7 years.
• Proficiency with Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Experience with AI coding agents and TS/SCI clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Build new features for a software project on classified networks.
• Lead feature improvements and data analytics initiatives.
• Design, code, and test in an Agile team environment.
• Coordinate tasks with other technical resources.
• Develop and deploy AI-enabled capabilities to enrich real-time dataflows.
