Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Software Engineer Level 1 to develop, maintain, and enhance diverse software systems including analytics, real-time software, and large data processing. You will work independently or in teams to review code, test components, and contribute to design decisions, including hardware/software trade-offs and COTS/GOTS usage.

Bachelor's in CS or related field is required. 7+ years SWE experience with potential substitutions, and active TS/SCI with Polygraph are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline required.
7+ years of software engineering experience required; 4 additional SWE years may substitute for degree.
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.

Responsibilities

Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.
Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or environments.
Debug existing software and correct defects; adapt to new hardware or improve performance.
Design or implement complex database interfaces and queries.
Develop or implement algorithms to meet performance standards.
Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
Write or review software and system documentation.
Provide technical leadership appropriate to the project’s software process.
