Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a self-driven, enthusiastic full stack engineer with a strong product sense to design, lead and build end-to-end video experiences for Amazon Shopping Video (ASV). You will influence technical direction, own complex projects, and collaborate with product, UX, and scientists to deliver low-latency rendering and responsive CX.

You will work on livestreaming, chat, advertising, and video commerce, taking architecture decisions and driving performance improvements

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience on large-scale systems.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing multi-tiered, distributed software applications and services.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Build lovable, fluid customer experiences to view videos and shop as they watch videos.
• Lead a group of Engineers on complex projects used by millions of customers.
• Expertise in modern architecture patterns, state management, and component-based design.
• Implement design systems and component libraries.
• Lead projects end-to-end, making Product/UX decisions.
• Optimize performance for high-frequency UI updates and complex state changes.
• Adhere to accessibility standards and internationalization best practices.
• Work across technologies to optimize video recommendations and low-latency rendering.
