Job summary

Amazon Shopping Video (ASV) seeks a self-driven, enthusiastic full-stack engineer with a strong product sense to design, lead and build end-to-end video experiences used by millions of Amazon customers. You will influence technical direction and engineering practices while tackling livestreaming, chat, advertising and video commerce problems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience (patterns, reliability, and scaling).
• 1+ years of SDE or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software applications.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS/Engineering/Math or related field.
• Experience programming with at least one language.

Responsibilities

• Build lovable, fluid customer experiences to view videos and shop as they watch videos.
• Lead a group of engineers on complex projects touching millions of customers.
• Expertise in modern architecture patterns, state management, and component-based design.
• Experience with design system implementation and component libraries.
• Take lead of projects end-to-end, including Product/UX decisions.
• Optimize performance for high-frequency UI updates and complex state changes.
• Knowledge of accessibility and internationalization best practices.
