Job summary

ASM Research seeks a Full Stack Developer to design and build complex applications for federal clients. The role requires strong analytical and collaboration skills, with a focus on scalable, reusable architectures and modern web UI development.

Responsibilities include Agile development, UI/UX design for microservices, and technical documentation. Candidates should have 5–10 years in programming, and experience with TypeScript, Node.js, Angular/React, and AWS services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5-10 years of programming/web development experience.
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript, Node.js, front-end frameworks such as Angular and React, and Node.js back-end frameworks.
• Experience with web services (SOAP, RESTful, XML, JSON).
• Understanding of NoSQL databases, and AWS DynamoDB is a plus.
• Thorough understanding of OO principles and DevOps culture.
• Identifies reusable functionality and implements it as a reusable component.
• Knowledge of IT standards, methodologies, SDLC and project management frameworks.
• Exposure to various industries and tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical and business teams to develop and maintain solutions following Agile practices.
• Design and develop applications with emphasis on simplicity, reliability, scalability, and re-use.
• Contribute to coding standards and participate in code reviews.
• Assist in sprint planning and story point estimation.
• Support troubleshooting of existing applications.
• Design, build, monitor and test infrastructure.
• Develop modern, responsive UI for microservices-based web app.
• Leverage latest web UI/UX development tools and techniques.
• Translate business requirements into technical specs.
• Produce technical documentation and program metrics.
• Support program requirements and data quality analysis.
• Analyze data to generate forecasts and recommendations.
• Contribute to project timelines and design specifications.
• Create diagrams and implement specifications per requirements.
• Prepare program and user documentation and training materials.
• Maintain operational and system level documentation.
