Job summary

Discern Inc. is seeking a passionate full stack engineer to join our distributed US team.

You will design and implement features across front-end React/TypeScript and back-end Go, with a strong emphasis on scalable relational databases and clean design. You will collaborate with the CTO, engineering leads, and product stakeholders to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced environment using modern technologies like React, Go, Temporal, and SQL.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience with React and TypeScript.
• 3+ years of professional experience programming in Go.
• Extensive experience designing relational database structures and working with SQL.
• Experience developing enterprise or SaaS software.
• Strong debugging and regression testing abilities.
• Ability to automate repetitive tasks and improve team velocity.
• Excellent communication in a distributed engineering team.
• Commitment to code quality and reusable design.

Responsibilities

• Work on both frontend and backend platform technologies to deliver new features for the Discern product.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Design leads to ensure high-quality software.
• Contribute ideas on technologies, patterns, and best practices used at Discern.
• Apply experience to help Discern scale as the team and product grow.
