Job summary

A5 Talent Finders in New York seeks a Founding Engineer to shape the product from day one. You will own the full stack (React, TypeScript, Node) and build core features like drop hosting, multi-user logistics, and ticketing, working directly with the founder.

This is a high-autonomy role with equity from day one, rapid delivery cadence, and the chance to influence engineering culture as the company scales across campuses.

Qualifications

• Full-stack experience across frontend (React/TypeScript), backend, and basic infrastructure.
• Experience shipping and scaling consumer-facing products (mobile-first or cross-platform is a plus).
• Strong product sense and attention to clean, user-friendly UI/UX.
• Comfort working quickly and independently in ambiguous environments.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted dev tools like GitHub Copilot or similar.

Responsibilities

• Own the full stack React, TypeScript, and Node and lead development of core features.
• Lead Drop Hosting, multi-user logistics, and ticketing/dues infrastructure.
• Work directly with the founder to shape the product roadmap and scale the architecture.
• Ship features weekly, experiment fast, and optimize based on feedback.
• Drive autonomy and tangible product impact in a fast-growing startup.
